One of my favorite aspects of this workout DVD is that I can turn the music off and just listen to the instruction.
Finally, I don’t have to listen to random tunes in the background. Cathe Friedrich is encouraging and even-toned.
Nothing worse than listening to a cheerleader on steroids. My posture is starting to look like my grandpa’s so I appreciated the emphasis on standing up straight. Cathe uses a lot of repetitions so my muscles were definitely feeling the burn like a hot dog on a roaster.
Sometimes I get a little weak in the knees, so I appreciated how this was high-intensity but low- impact.
The pink and black outfits of her backup exercisers were cute too, which I think subliminally made me feel like I looked as good as them.
Workout time: 75 minutes. Items Needed: Requires 3 to 8 lb. dumbbells and a challenge band. They use a ballet barre but a chair will work.
