Review:  Tracey Mallett’s The Booty Barre

Tracey sounds a little bit like a cheerleading coach hopped up on too many sodas but that’s kind of what I like.

Her spunky peppy voice makes me afraid of her wrath if I quit.

The ballet-inspired moves are executed quickly so it’s sort of like ballet aerobics.

I wanted to tell Tracey to stop torturing me, but then realized it would be futile to yell at a TV screen.

The moves are so fast I found myself challenged to execute them without looking like deranged raccoon.

And I mean that in a good way. The workout is super effective.

She moves seamlessly from one move to another utilizing faves like legs kicks and plies.

Although the DVD is called “booty barre”, it actually works out your whole body; legs, abs, and arms too. I was literally dripping with sweat when I was finished!

Workout time: 64. Equipment needed: 3 to 5 lb. dumbells.
